Seismic strengthening projects involve a range of professionals. Heritage projects can be more complex than strengthening modern buildings. So it’s important to work with professionals with the right experience, knowledge, and qualifications.

Where there is more than one professional engaged for your project, one of the professionals will lead the project and be your main point of contact with the rest of the team. This professional may be the project manager for a large project, or it may be the architect or the engineer. The lead role will depend on the nature of the work required on your building, and which of the professionals is likely to have the greatest input to the project.

If your building is in a regional area that has a medium or high seismic risk, you may be eligible for a Heritage EQUIP Professional Advice Grant to help you get the right advice for your project.
