Tips for finding an architect
If your strengthening project impacts the heritage elements of your building, you may need an architect’s advice on the best way to maintain heritage values.
Heritage EQUIP visiting regional towns
Mike Frew, the Heritage EQUIP Fund Manager, visited New Plymouth and Invercargill this month. He talked to building owners and council staff about their earthquake-prone heritage buildings.
"It was a great chance to talk to building owners and support council efforts to progress city-scale solutions," says Mike.
If your council has a building owner engagement effort you'd like Mike to support, contact him on [email protected]
New brochures available
A new Heritage EQUIP brochure is available in both printed and electronic formats - it's a helpful resource if you work with heritage building owners.
The brochure outlines the funding available and gives an overview of the seismic strengthening process.
